The educational and professional program (EPP) «International Information and Public Communications» is the successor of the specialty «International Information», which trained qualified international specialists for information, analytical and communication work. Starting from 2015, training began within the field of knowledge 29 International relations, specialty 291 «International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies». <br> | |||
EPP International Information and Public Communications training for students of higher education at the first (bachelor) level of the specialty 291 International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies was approved by the Academic Council of Lesya Ukrainka EENU (March 30, 2017), taking into account the challenges in the field of international relations and foreign policy of Ukraine, as well as the needs of the region, to provide qualified information analysis in connection with the increase in the volume of information flows, content in the practice of international relations, foreign policy activities, communication with foreign partners at various levels in the economic, social, cultural and other spheres. In 2020, it was updated according to the Standard of Higher Education of Ukraine for the specialty 291 International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies for the First (Bachelor) Level of Higher Education. <br> | |||
When developing the educational and professional program, the experience of other institutions of higher education, suggestions of education seekers, employers, the academic community, and other interested parties were taken into account, as well as taking into account the Development Strategy of Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University for 2020-2024, the Development Strategy of the Volyn Region for the period up to 2027, current security challenges and European integration prospects of Ukraine, strategic planning at different levels, with public discussion and involvement of interested parties. <br> | |||
Starting from September 1, 2023, a full education cycle with English-Language training began. As of 2023-2024 with the participation of the International Communications and Political Analysis Department, students of higher education are trained under the International Information and Public Communications Program at the first (bachelor’s), second (master’s), third (educational and scientific ESP «International Relations and Strategic Communications of Ukraine and the EU») and scientific levels. | |||
