Classroom Description

In classroom 108, students are given the opportunity to practice and acquire practical skills related to the selection, adjustment and training of the patient in the use of an appropriate assistive device, as well as training in patient movement techniques and insurance. For this purpose, the office is equipped with all the necessary equipment - a two-way staircase for learning to walk, parallel adjustable bars with obstacles for restoring walking skills, a mobile corrective rehabilitation mirror, a height-adjustable patient chair, a therapeutic couch. To practice movement techniques with an assistive device, canes, 4-support sticks, groin crutches, armrest crutches, horizontal armrest crutches, walkers of various types (frames, rollators, armrest walkers). The availability of wheelchairs of various types (active, functional, etc.) is an opportunity for students to master the technique of riding a wheelchair with subsequent training of patients, to select a chair according to the functional state of the patient. The use of a functional bed, a transfer board, a belt for moving and securing the patient during classes contributes to the acquisition by students of the necessary skills that subsequently help to expand the activities and participation of patients with persistent dysfunctions. The office also has a hydraulic lift for a toilet chair, a shower chair, a verticalizer, an orthostatic table. For better practice of skills, classes are held with the involvement of standardized patients. When taking the Unified Qualification Exam, the office is a station for OSKI.
