Classroom Description

Room 102 is a preclinical training room for students, which is of key importance in the training of future physical therapists and occupational therapists, as it provides conditions that allow students to acquire and master practical skills and simultaneously acquire theoretical knowledge. The available specialized equipment in the preclinical training room allows students to work in conditions as close as possible to clinical ones. During classes in the room, students use rehabilitation tables (with electric height adjustment), a physical therapist's chair, a Swedish wall, a Nordiсtrek cycle trainer, as well as a TheraActiv cycle trainer for the lower and upper extremities. In addition, students have the opportunity to practice the technique and methodology of performing therapeutic exercises using, for example, a gymnastic mat, a balancing board, a balancing disc cushion, step platforms (for training coordination and balance skills), dumbbells of different weights, elastic bands of different resistance, weighting devices with variable weight (to increase muscle strength), fitballs, rollers, half rollers, etc. The auditorium is multifunctional, here you can combine both practical training and theoretical training, equipped with multimedia equipment and a video camera. When compiling the EDKI, the office is a station for OSKI. With the participation of standardized patients using wheelchairs, static walkers, a belt for moving and securing the patient, a verticalizer for moving (possibly a lift), the students' mastery of skills is complicated, which contributes to their better reproduction in real conditions.
