Continuous education for graduates is ensured by a specially organized system of postgraduate education, meeting the need for self-education and lifelong development.
- Postgraduate education is carried out through qualification improvement programs:
- "Physical therapy for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder."
- "Correctional and rehabilitation work in the preschool and school education system: medical monitoring of the physical and psychological state of children and adolescents."
- "Physical therapy in sports medicine."
- "Training specialists in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and rehabilitation medicine."
- Graduates of previous years (before 2021) have the opportunity to obtain a specialization in the field of 227.01 — Physical Therapy and 227.02 — Occupational Therapy (information regarding the right to carry out educational activities in the field of postgraduate education at the Lesya Ukrainka National University – Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Order from 22.06.2021 No. 77-l).
- Qualification requirements for obtaining specialization 227.01 "Physical Therapy" for the position of "Physical Therapist" – higher education (master's degree) in the field of "Health Protection" with a specialty in "Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy," or higher education (master's degree) in the field of "Health Protection" with a specialty in "Physical Rehabilitation," or higher education (specialist, master's degree) in the field of "Physical Education, Sport, and Human Health" with a specialty in "Physical Rehabilitation."
- Qualification requirements for obtaining specialization 227.01 "Physical Therapy" for the position of "Physical Therapy Assistant" – junior specialist (junior bachelor) or bachelor in the field of "Health Protection" with specialties in "Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy," or "Physical Rehabilitation," or "Nursing;" or junior specialist (junior bachelor) or bachelor in the field of "Physical Education, Sport, and Human Health" in the specialization of "Human Health" with a professional focus on "Physical Rehabilitation."
- Qualification requirements for obtaining specialization 227.02 "Occupational Therapy" for the position of "Occupational Therapist" – higher education (master's degree) in the field of "Health Protection" with a specialty in "Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy," or higher education (master's degree) in the field of "Health Protection" with a specialty in "Physical Rehabilitation," or higher education (specialist, master's degree) in the field of "Physical Education, Sport, and Human Health" with a specialty in "Physical Rehabilitation."
- Qualification requirements for obtaining specialization 227.02 "Occupational Therapy" for the position of "Occupational Therapy Assistant" – junior specialist (junior bachelor) or bachelor in the field of "Health Protection" with specialties in "Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy," or "Physical Rehabilitation," or "Nursing;" or junior specialist (junior bachelor) or bachelor in the field of "Physical Education, Sport, and Human Health" in the specialization of "Human Health" with a professional focus on "Physical Rehabilitation."
During lectures, practical classes, independent and individual work, distance (internet) classes, discussions, round tables, training workshops, and practical exercises, participants in qualification improvement courses will gain new knowledge, practical skills, adopt best practices from their colleagues, improve existing and acquire new competencies in the specialty of "Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy." Upon completion of the courses, participants receive a certificate of qualification improvement.
