There are 20 full-time teachers working at the department, 11 of them have scientific degrees and academic titles: Candidates of Philological Sciences, Associate Professors - 7, Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professors - 2, Candidates of Psychological Sciences - 2. The teaching staff of the department is under the leadership of Associate Professor Oksana Oleksandrivna Hnikina to actively conduct fruitful research and publishing activity. From September 2006 to November 2021 the department was headed by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Aida Mykolaivna Trotsyuk. During the department's existence, 11 Candidate theses were defended: 6 of them - 6 on the specialty 10.02.04 - Germanic languages ​​(O.O. Khnykina, O.V. Naumuk, K.L. Honchar, T.M. Vashchuk, O. V. Yasinska, Bidniuk A.V.), 1 in the specialty 13.00.09 – theory of learning (Kyrykylytsia V.V.), 2 19.00.07 with the specialty of pedagogical and age psychology (O.L. Lavrynenko, G.V. Tryhub), 2 with the specialty of 01.10.06 – the theory of literature (O.M. Radavska, Yu.D. Kryukova). Сurrently, the members of the department have published about 600 scientific and educational-methodological works, including monographs, educational manuals with the seal of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, workshops, educational-methodical recommendations, etc. All members of the department are continuously engaged in scientific activities within the scientific subject of the department, which is dedicated to the semantic-functional features of units of different language levels.
