Кафедру міжнародних комунікацій та політичного аналізу (до 2016 року кафедра міжнародної інформації) засновано у 2003 році. Рішенням Вченої ради від 22 грудня 2016 року кафедру перейменовано у кафедру міжнародних комунікацій та політичного аналізу факультету міжнародних відносин.

The Department of International Communications and Political Analysis (former, the Department of International Information) was founded in 2003. The Decision of the University Academic Council as of December 22, 2016 renamed the International Information Department into the Department of International Communications and Political Analysis of the Faculty of International Relations. Колектив кафедри співпрацює також з факультетом міжнародних відносин та філософським факультетом Львівського національного університету імені Івана Франка, Інститутом прикладної математики та фундаментальних наук та Інститутом гуманітарних та соціальних наук Національного університету «Львівська політехніка», кафедрою політології Миколаївського національного університету імені В. О. Сухомлинського, кафедрою міжнародних відносин Національного університету «Острозька академія». International Activity of the Department: The Department has established close cooperation with the I. F. Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnonational Studies of the NAS of Ukraine, Institute of International Relations of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Yu. Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The staff of the Department also cooperates with the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Philosophy of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Basic Sciences and the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences of Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Department of Political Science of the V. O. Sukhomlynskiy Mykolayiv National University, the International Relations Departnment of the National University «Ostroh Academy». The Department of International Communications and Political Analysis cooperates with the staff of educational and research institutions of other countries, in particular, with the Faculty of International Relations of the Maria Skłodowska-Curie University (Lublin, Republic of Poland), the State Higher Vocational School (Chełm, Republic of Poland), Higher School of Management (Lodz, Republic of Poland), Higher School of Public Administration (Chełm, Republic of Poland), A. S. Pushkin Brest State University (Brest, Republic of Belarus), Nicolaus Copernicus University (Torun, Republic of Poland). Close ties are maintained with the Institute of Sociology of the University of Rzeszow (Rzeszow, Republic of Poland). Material and Technical Base of the Department The Department of International Communications and Political Analysis of the Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University has the appropriate conditions for training specialists in licensed educational and professional programs, has the required number of classrooms; the academic process is arranged in two shifts. Training is conducted in 12 classrooms located in the building № 1 (A). These specialized laboratories are equipped with the following application packages: Microsoft Windows 7 Pro, Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Office 2003 Pro, 1С: Enterprise 8.2, LibreOffice 4.0, PowderCell for Windows v2.4, MPS, MyTest, Adobe Reader, Google Chrome, CCleaner 3.19, OpenOffice.org 3.3 WinDjView . Microsoft Office 365 is also used to train Bachelors and Masters; it is the Microsoft proprietary cloud-based Internet service and software, which is distributed under the «Software + Services» scheme. Office 365 Education is a set of services that allows co-working at materials and sharing documents. This service is free of charge for teachers currently working in educational institutions, as well as for pupils and students studying in these institutions. The service provides access to Office Online (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote), an unlimited amount of cloud storage for each user, Yammer, and SharePoint sites. Office 365 includes several productivity programs designed to meet the needs of collaboration at the organizational, departmental, and team levels. Currently, the list of collaboration tools includes OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Skype for Business, Outlook Online, Delve and others. It is available on all PCs and personal mobile devices. When training specialists, in particular, in «Mathematical Modeling and Forecasting in International Relations» FreeMat software is used, i.e., software environment for mathematical calculations, which is distributed under a free license and provides free functions of statistical data processing, systems modeling, analysis of mathematical models in international relations. During the credit-examination session the final control of students' knowledge of normative disciplines is carried out in the auditoria C-4 in the form of computer testing. Students have the opportunity to engage in research and exploration activities in the library of the Lesya Ukrainka VNU, where computers are installed to work with the electronic catalog of the library and in the reading room with access to the subscribed electronic research resources. Free access to the Internet owing to the Wi-Fi technology in the lobby and corridors of all academic buildings of the University is an additional tool for training and communication of students and teachers.
