Історична довідка / Historical background

Кафедру міжнародних комунікацій та політичного аналізу (до 2016 року кафедра міжнародної інформації) засновано у 2003 році. Рішенням Вченої ради від 22 грудня 2016 року кафедру перейменовано у кафедру міжнародних комунікацій та політичного аналізу факультету міжнародних відносин. The Department of International Communications and Political Analysis (former, the Department of International Information) was founded in 2003. The Decision of the University Academic Council as of December 22, 2016 renamed the International Information Department into the Department of International Communications and Political Analysis of the Faculty of International Relations. The Department was headed by:

Professional qualification: (according to the curricula of 2020, 2021) Specialist in International Information and Social Communications with the profound knowledge of a foreign language (with the language indication). Training of Bachelors in International Information and Social Communications involves the study of the following main subjects: Conflict Studies and Negotiation Theory, International Information Security, Mass and Strategic Communications, International Information and Public Communications, International Relations and World Politics, Information and Analytical Activities in International Relations, the First and the Second Foreign Languages (with the language indication), Translation of Conferences and Public Events (with the language indication), Analysis and Forecasting of Countries and Regions Foreign Policy, Fundamentals of Diplomacy and Diplomatic Work, Modern Information Warfare, Media Communication Tools, Applied Information and Communication Technologies, Foreign Policy Communication Instruments. Master Degree: Educational qualification: Master of International Relations, Social Communications and Regional Studies with a specialization in International Information and Social Communications. Specialty 291 «International Relations, Social Communications and Regional Studies» is a complex specialty that enables a professional to hold the following positions:

  • analyst-referent of the press service of a foreign policy department or diplomatic mission;
  • attache, diplomatic agent, diplomatic courier, secretary of the diplomatic mission;
  • analyst of computer systems and computer communications of an information and analytical center of a bank, company, state institution ;
  • international analyst in the field of print and electronic media;
  • specialist in communication technologies in the field of international advertising;
  • international analyst of the public relations and press department of state institutions, commercial structures, joint ventures;
  • information security specialist (regarding information operations);
  • analyst of the foreign markets monitoring department;
  • international journalist in state or commercial TV and radio companies, newspaper editorial offices;
  • researcher of a research institution in the field of international relations;
  • translator, interpreter.

  • 2018-2019 рр. - науково-дослідна тема "Інформаційна війна як новий вимір геополітичної ривалізації" (згідно з наказом Міністерства освіти і науки України від 25 червня 2018 р. № 695 «Про фінансування спільних українсько-польських науково-дослідних проектів у 2018-2019 р.» (співвиконавець відділ політології Інституту наук про безпеку Краківського педагогічного університету імені Національної освітньої комісії) (номердержреєстрації 0119U001621).

Кафедрою налагоджено тісну співпрацю з Інститутом політичних і етнонаціональних досліджень імені І.Ф. Кураса НАН України, Інститутом міжнародних відносин Київського національного університету імені Т.Г. Шевченка, Чернівецьким національним університетом імені Ю. Федьковича.

Колектив кафедри співпрацює також з факультетом міжнародних відносин та філософським факультетом Львівського національного університету імені Івана Франка, Інститутом прикладної математики та фундаментальних наук та Інститутом гуманітарних та соціальних наук Національного університету «Львівська політехніка», кафедрою політології Миколаївського національного університету імені В. О. Сухомлинського, кафедрою міжнародних відносин Національного університету «Острозька академія». Кафедра міжнародних комунікацій та політичного аналізу співпрацює з колективами навчальних закладів і наукових установ інших країн, зокрема, з факультетом міжнародних відносин Університету імені Марії Склодовської-Кюрі (м. Люблін, Республіка Польща), Державною вищою професійною школою (м. Холм, Республіка Польща), Вищою школою управління (м. Лодзь, Республіка Польща), Вищою школою державного управління (м. Холм, Республіка Польща), Університетом Миколая Коперніка (Польща, м.Торінь). Тісні зв'язки підтримуються з Інститутом соціології Університету в Жешові (Instytut Socjologii Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego).
