The main directions of work of the Department of general pathology and surgical diseases are:

  • Educational-methodical and scientific-research work is conducted on the basis of the Center for "Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy" of Lesia Ukrainka Volyn National University, the Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital, the Volyn Regional Medical Association for Maternal and Child Health Protection, the Volyn Regional Dental Clinic, the medical laboratory LLC "HEMO MEDIKA Lutsk", the Communal Enterprise "Lutsk Center for Primary Medical Care", the Communal Enterprise "Volyn Regional Medical Center of Oncology" of the Volyn Regional Council, the Volyn Regional Psychiatric Hospital in the city of Lutsk, the Volyn Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination, the Communal Enterprise "Volyn Regional Pathological Anatomical Bureau", the Communal Enterprise "Medical Association of the Lutsk City Territorial Community";
  • Using the results of scientific research in the educational process;
  • Scientific-educational work with students;
  • Support and development of inter-university and international educational and scientific medical and informational connections;
  • Involvement of leading profile specialists in teaching, scientists, and practitioners;
  • Focus on educational, research, and experimental activities;
  • International cooperation for the exchange of experience with leading universities in Europe;
  • Vocational guidance work with high school students on the competitive advantages of the Medical Faculty of Lesia Ukrainka VNU and its promotion.

The main tasks of the Department of general pathology and surgical diseases are:

  • Ensuring the educational process for students in clinical disciplines and practices;
  • Practical classes are conducted using the most modern medical equipment, tools, demonstration means, microscopes, histological preparations, and educational materials, which improve the assimilation of material by students.
