Educational and methodical work
Educational and methodological work at the department is aimed at solving problems of improving the quality of training of specialists on the basis of an integrated approach to improving the content, organization and methods of training by means of advanced training, professional skills, and development of the creative potential of the department members. It is aimed at forming the creative personality of a scientific and pedagogical worker and supporting the professional form of his activity. Educational and methodological work at the department is based on the principles of: educational and methodological independence; organic interconnection of educational and methodological activities of scientific and pedagogical workers and scientific and research activities of applicants; determination of the near and distant prospects in the process of self-improvement of the department members. Educational and methodological work covers all types of methodological work and is consistent with the main directions of the department's work. It is aimed at improving the teaching of educational components assigned to the department, optimizing and intensifying the educational process, improving its methodological support, and improving the pedagogical qualifications of the department's teaching staff.
The scientific and methodological commission of the department, headed by the head of the department, controls the submission of proposals for the list of elective disciplines of the curriculum for approval by the academic council of the university. At the beginning of the academic year, the topics of course and final qualification works and methodological recommendations for their implementation are updated and developed, control over the writing of scientific qualification works by applicants, and the work of examination commissions is monitored.
The general management of educational and methodological work at the department and control over its implementation is carried out by the head of the department, who controls the correctness of maintaining educational and methodological documentation by members of the department. Direct management is carried out by the head of scientific and methodological work of the department, who draws up a plan for educational and methodological work of the department and writes a report on the work performed, and his deputy. Educational and methodological work is a mandatory component of the professional activity of each scientific and pedagogical employee. The planned types of educational and methodological work are included in the individual plan and are implemented during the academic year. During the academic year, members of the department report at the department meeting on the educational and methodological work performed. The volume and quality of its performance are taken into account when selecting a scientific and pedagogical employee through a competition (or when extending an employment contract) for a new term.
The main areas of methodological work of the department are the analysis of the provision of the educational process with educational and methodological literature, the formation of current plans for the publication of textbooks, educational and methodological manuals and methodological recommendations for the purpose of teaching academic disciplines in accordance with modern requirements for the level of training of specialists. Educational and methodological publications are uploaded to the electronic database of the university library repository, which allows students to use electronic resources to improve the quality of education. The department uses information and communication technologies by uploading electronic resources to the Moodle repository; using Microsoft Teams as an online service for teamwork, which provides communication functions for participants in the educational process in one workspace; creating their own electronic presentations, tests and methodological support for the educational process; developing methodological recommendations for planning, organizing and monitoring the independent work of students. Students also have the opportunity to use printed teaching and learning aids and methodological recommendations prepared by scientific and pedagogical workers available at the department for learning.
The main forms of methodological work at the department are lectures, laboratory and practical classes, round table meetings, attending open classes and mutual visits of scientific and pedagogical workers, lectures by invited specialists in the field of health care and rehabilitation from other higher education institutions both in Ukraine and abroad. A variety of lecture support for students are lectures-conversations, lectures-discussions, lectures-discussions and lectures in a mixed format, the resources of the educational and library building are used. Laboratory classes use the material and technical base of the faculty and the university rehabilitation clinic with available equipment, which allows conducting training sessions with maximum proximity to further professional work in healthcare institutions by specialty, working as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, assistant physical therapist and assistant occupational therapist. The department uses information and communication technologies by uploading electronic resources to the Moodle repository; using Microsoft Teams as an online service for teamwork, which provides communication functions for educational participants in one workspaceprocess; creating their own electronic presentations, tests and methodological support for the educational process; developing methodological recommendations for planning, organizing and monitoring the independent work of students.
In order to improve their professional skills, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department participate in educational and methodological seminars, conferences, open and instructional and methodological classes, master classes, webinars and practical trainings. Methodological bridges have become a practice, as a type of discussion between members of the department and scientific and pedagogical staff from different higher education institutions, which allows us to consider various issues of the educational and professional program from different points of view. Studying the experience of other university departments and higher education institutions on the implementation of modern information and communication technologies in the educational process allows us to increase the level of teaching educational components and interest students. For higher education applicants, according to the curriculum and educational and professional program, syllabuses for each educational component have been prepared and posted on the university website, which allows applicants to familiarize themselves with the list of competencies that will be formed during training, the content of the curriculum, tasks for independent study, the assessment policy and a list of recommended sources and Internet resources.
The Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Department is a structural unit of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Faculty, which performs the functions of organizing, planning and controlling scientific and methodological work, internships and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical employees of the Department in scientific and educational institutions, HEIs in Ukraine and abroad.
The Scientific and Methodological Commission is involved in making proposals for the development of the educational and laboratory base of the Department, concluding agreements with clinical practice bases, conducting industrial and clinical practices of education applicants. The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department, according to the requirements, undergo internships and advanced training.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of the department work on the problem of forming the personality of education seekers, tolerant of the environment and motivated for further professional activity. In the process of Ukraine's entry into the single European and world educational space, the efforts of the scientific and methodological commission of the department are aimed at improving the quality of training of specialists and ensuring the competitiveness of university graduates. To this end, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department introduce new learning technologies into the educational process, use electronic courses of educational components in the educational process, which have access to the Internet. The department actively uses modern technologies and innovative teaching methods for the effective transfer of knowledge and the formation of skills and abilities in education seekers. This contributes to the development of critical thinking, creativity and independence, so necessary for specialists in the field of rehabilitation and the ability to find an individual approach to each education seeker.
